Stage Door Theatre is thrilled to launch its own Performing Arts Academy, opening in May 2021. The Academy serves to educate and inspire children and young adults ages 7 through 18 in the performing arts. 

Camps will be taught by our team of theatre professionals and educators coming with a wide range of backgrounds, including musical theatre, dance, acting, film, costuming, set design, performance opportunities, and so much more!

Grace VandeWaa

Education Program Director

Grace VandeWaa has 10 years of experience in education. Over the years she has worked as an arts educator and administrator for private companies as well as for public schools and fully embraces the importance of community driven programming. She can be found in the classroom, the studio, the director’s chair, and on the stage. Recent performance credits include Cabaret (Texas/Dance Captain), Ragtime (Dance Captain), Legends In Concert OWA, She Kills Monsters (Agnes), Sanspointe Dance Company, as well as numerous independent film projects. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Dance from the University of Alabama.

Allison Cash

Technical Theatre Education

Allison Cash is a Dunwoody native. She graduated from Columbus State University in December of 2019 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Design and Technology. She has worked in all areas of theatre, but focuses in stage management. Some of her stage management credits include: The Light in the Piazza, Peter and the Starcatcher, James and the Giant Peach, and two seasons of The Nutcracker with the Columbus Ballet. She received two KC-ACTF Region IV nominations for her stage management of Spring Awakening and The Last Night of Ballyhoo, both at Columbus State. She has been the lighting designer and sound designer for a handful of shows, as well as fly captain.

Molly Wiley

Teaching Artist

Molly is a Georgia-born actor with over a decade of arts educator experience spanning the east coast. From directing and choreography to theatrical administration and wardrobe, Molly brings a well-rounded understanding to all of her classes and workshops. As a local actor, you may have seen Molly with OnStage Atlanta (HEATHERS), The Legacy Theater (GODSPELL), The Wallace Buice Theater Co. (PARADE), on tour with A BING CROSBY CHRISTMAS, or premiering Theater for Young Audiences with Florida’s Riverside Theatre.

Stephanie Zandra

Voice & Music Teaching Artist

Stephanie is excited to join the Stage Door family this summer. She has worked in theatre and musical theatre education with Fulton County Arts at South Fulton Arts Center and Marietta Middle School. She has also performed with local Atlanta theatre companies such as Actor's Express, Georgia Ensemble Theatre, Theatre Buford, and the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre. She has also done several musicals and concerts at Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe in Sarasota, FL.

L’Oréal Roaché

Teaching Artist

L’Oréal Roaché is an alumnus of Kennesaw State University where she majored in Theatre and Performance Studies with a concentration in Musical Theatre and minored in dance. As well as being an experienced educator, L’Oréal is a local professional in the theatre industry. Most recently she performed as Ti Moune in Once on this Island, Ella in Ella Enchanted, and Turtle in A Year with Frog and Toad.

Lizzy Liu

Teaching Artist

Lizzy is a Georgia born actor. She is currently studying at Point Park University where she is majoring in theatre arts. She brings with her over 8 years over acting, dance, and vocal training as well as industry experience. Lizzy also has experience in directing, writing, improv, and devised work. He recent credits include Dead Man’s Cell Phone (The Other Woman/The Stranger), Water By The Spoonful (Orangutan), and Ripe Frenzy (Hadley/Bethany)
