As a 501[c]3 nonprofit theatre, Stage Door Players’ vision is to be respected and recognized for artistic excellence. Each season, we strive to bring the most popular, compelling and entertaining works to you with some of the most talented and brightest professionals in the industry. Stage Door Players will always place an emphasis on quality and professionalism of our productions, while continuing to educate and expand the theatrical knowledge and experience of both our audiences and our talent.

With the support of our Sponsors, our Season Ticket holders, our Donors, our Partners and our Community, we have been able to grow from a community theater to a professional theater, producing a full season of popular, compelling and entertaining works, featuring World Premiere and Regional debuts of new plays and musicals.  Our main stage season consist of six shows, along with special events like our Canteen Cabaret series, our Woodie Awards and a Murder Mystery dinner fundraiser. Stage Door Players has performed anti-bullying programs to middle schools in the area to help students understand the impact of their actions. We have worked with our partners to bring History Alive! with our community programming.

Live professional theater exists thanks to the foresight of the Dunwoody Woman’s Club who founded the theater to the Dunwoody community in 1974. In 1988 we were able to move to our current home at the North DeKalb Cultural Arts Center. From 2016 to 2018, in partnership with the City of Dunwoody, Portis Building, and Oldcastle (now CRH) we were able to update our lobby, restrooms, and our entranceway. The Dunwoody Garden Club enhanced our main entrance by planting our garden in 2019. With the help of our many partners, Stage Door Players will continue to put our best foot forward serving the community as best we can.

As we continue to grow and expand our theater and our talent, watch for our exciting future endeavors. We continue to challenge ourselves with new ideas and to bring the very best that we have to offer. With each new undertaking, our goal is to engage, broaden, and deepen the connection to both our current audience, and to a new theatre-going audience that has yet to experience a live performance.

Thank you for being a part of this wonderful theatrical experience. We hope that we see you soon!
